Haley + Tyler's Newport Beach Elopement

There aren’t many professions that allow you to create something really beautiful and meaningful for someone you love. I feel honored to be able to do what I do everyday, but to plan one of my best friend’s wedding is a privilege that I’ll always be grateful for.

Haley and I have known each other since we were 13 or so years old and have been inseparable ever since. When she started dating Tyler and I saw his open-minded, adventurous spirit (a trait Haley also shares), I knew it was only a matter of time before their wedding, and them venturing outside of west Michigan where we all lived at the time.

After college, Haley and Tyler moved to Ventura, California and spent subsequent years in other areas of the golden state, eventually landing in Orange County. Because Haley and Tyler are both from Michigan, we had planned their original dream wedding (slated to be a 150-guest event) in the mitten, but when the COVID-19 pandemic hit, we quickly realized that Plan A wasn’t an option.

In three months, we scratched the original plan in Michigan, created a completely new event in the couple’s adopted home state of California with a smaller guest count. To say the logistics were complicated is an understatement to be sure, but getting married at the Top of the World (literally - Top of the World lookout) and spending time with loved ones on the beach was the result - perfectly reflecting this fun-loving, adventurous couple. Much love to Haley and Tyler!
