Jack & David quickly became so much more than a client to the Shoreline Team & it was our upmost pleasure to assist them in the curation of their special day. From the first planning call to their last dance, we constantly found ourselves laughing & connecting as we celebrated their love story. To this day, we constantly find ourselves referring to J+D, reminding our team of the heart behind our work.

The Start of Forever

Though they reside in Chicago, J+D decided to celebrate their story in David'’s hometown of Detroit. As they promised their vows to one another, The Birdy Room at Shinola Hotel provided the most perfect backdrop for their overall aesthetic inspired by B&W elegance with a hint of industrial masculinity & chic minimalistic details. Instead of a large bridal party, the couple opted to prioritize this special & intimate moment with a friend that was most close to them each & their love story.

With tables set to perfection & cocktails passed to all of their loved ones - J+D had a little special something planned up their sleeves. While guests mingled, J+D changed into a second set of tuxedos to surprise everyone for their grand entrance! Their new look carried this fun energy into their reception where we, I mean they, danced the night away.
